COOKIE POLICY

Cookies are small files that a website stores on your device. This policy also covers similar technologies, such as code that reads information from your browser. It explains what our website uses and how you can control it.

1. The short version

  • Some cookies are needed for the site to work and to keep our forms secure. These are always on.

  • Google Analytics runs only if you accept it. You can change your choice at any time using “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page.

  • We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not track you across other websites.

2. Cookies that are always on

These cookies are strictly necessary. The site, and our forms in particular, would not work properly without them, so they do not need your consent.

Cookie

What it does and how long it lasts

marsh_session (Marsh RPF)

Keeps your visit working as you move between pages, including anything you have typed into a form. Lasts two hours.

XSRF-TOKEN (Marsh RPF)

Protects our forms against forged requests from other websites. Lasts two hours.

cookie_consent_level, cookie_consent_user_accepted, cookie_consent_user_consent_token (Marsh RPF)

Remembers your cookie choice so that we do not ask you on every page. Lasts up to 12 months.

_GRECAPTCHA (Google reCAPTCHA)

Checks that forms are being completed by people rather than automated spam. Set only on pages with a form. Lasts up to six months.

reCAPTCHA sends Google information such as your IP address, browser details and how you interact with the page, so that it can tell people from automated programs. Google provides reCAPTCHA on our behalf and may use this information only to run the service for us.

3. Analytics cookies, used only if you accept them

We use Google Analytics to understand which pages people visit and how they find us, so that we can improve the site. It does not tell us who you are. Google processes this data on our behalf, and we have switched off Google's advertising features and data sharing.

Cookie

What it does and how long it lasts

_ga (Google Analytics)

Tells one visitor from another so that we can count visits. Lasts up to two years.

_ga_[G-186ER51XJ0] (Google Analytics)

Keeps track of your current visit. Lasts up to two years.

viewed_resources[vacancy or guide number] (Marsh RPF)

Counts how many times each vacancy and guide is viewed. Lasts until you close your browser.

Some browsers delete these cookies sooner. If you reject analytics, or change your mind later, these cookies are not set, or are removed.

4. How to control cookies

  • Use “Cookie settings” at the bottom of any page to accept or reject analytics, or to change your choice.

  • You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block the cookies that are always on, our forms may not work.

  • Google offers a browser add-on that stops Google Analytics on every website, at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

5. More information

Our privacy notice explains how we use personal data, the rights you have and how to contact us. If you have a question about cookies, email hello@marsh-rpf.com.
