A Tier 1 infrastructure contractor is delivering one of the largest transmission upgrades in Scotland's central belt, covering substations, overhead lines and underground cable.
You'll take ownership of the whole programme, with all three disciplines under one P&L.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
You'll own delivery of the full programme – substation extensions and new transformers, a new double-circuit 275kV/400kV overhead line, reconductoring to 400kV, and 132kV undergrounding.
You'll direct access, foundations, tower strengthening and erection, stringing, substation installation and commissioning, with full accountability for programme, cost, risk and margin.
You'll lead large, geographically dispersed delivery teams and supply chains, and hold the client relationship at director level from a joint project office.
The programme runs on an initial five-year term with an option to extend to ten, and you'll support business growth through framework delivery and bids.
ABOUT YOU
- You've delivered complex transmission projects at scale, across overhead lines, substations or HV cable
- You want the whole programme under one P&L, not a single scheme
- You're confident holding transmission owner relationships at director level
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- Significant experience delivering complex transmission projects at scale
- Senior leadership in energy or major infrastructure, with proven ownership of programme, cost, risk and margin
- Strong technical knowledge across all phases of delivery, from access and foundations to commissioning
- Commercial acumen and contract management under NEC3 or NEC4
- UK right to work. No visa sponsorship
