A Power T&D EPC contractor delivering on the major UK transmission and distribution frameworks is hiring a Senior CAD Technician to lead its drawing office.
You'll hold checking authority across 132kV to 400kV overhead line and 66kV to 400kV cable schemes, with junior technicians to develop.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
You'll produce and check the full drawing suite across two disciplines. On overhead lines that means route maps, profiles, wire clearance diagrams and tower arrangements.
On cables, it's route plans, trench and duct bank cross-sections, joint bay layouts and reinstatement details, in AutoCAD and MicroStation to client CAD standards.
You'll hold those CAD standards rather than just follow them, checking the wider drawing office's output and developing the technicians coming through.
Schemes run from feasibility through detailed design to construction support, so you'll see your drawings through to as-built rather than handing them over at issue.
