A Tier 1 infrastructure contractor is one of five construction partners on National Grid's £9bn Great Grid Partnership.
This role leads its substation package on a transmission reinforcement scheme, from enabling civils and HV cabling through to commissioning.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
You'll own delivery of a new 400/132kV grid supply point and extension works at two existing 400kV substations, from mobilisation and enabling works through to energisation and handover.
You'll hold safety, quality, programme and cost together, run NEC contract administration and the risk register, and lead the site team and supply chain across civils, cabling and HV installation.
You'll hold the National Grid relationship day to day, working the outage, consent and landowner constraints that set the real programme on a rural set of sites.
The role is site-based four days a week, with National Grid's reinforcement due to be fully operational by 2030.
