A global construction and property consultancy is hiring a Senior Project Manager for its utilities team in Germany.
You'll lead medium and high voltage infrastructure projects and programmes worth up to €50m, reporting to the Head of Utilities.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
You'll own defined scopes of work from planning through to commissioning, setting the delivery strategy, master programme, resource plan and controls in agreement with clients and key stakeholders.
You'll manage programme, cost, quality, consents and contracts across MV and HV installations, spotting variances early, escalating risks with clear recommendations and coordinating commissioning and handover.
You'll be the link between clients, contractors, works managers, municipalities, landowners and network owners such as TenneT, including the interfaces between contestable and non-contestable works.
You'll also improve how projects are controlled and reported, and give senior stakeholders the advice they need to make good decisions.
ABOUT YOU
- You're a utility infrastructure project manager with a track record on medium and high voltage electrical schemes
- You're at home with project controls, delivery governance and the commercial side of a contract
- You're confident leading senior client, contractor, authority and landowner relationships, in German and English
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- Substantial experience managing utility infrastructure projects up to €50m
- Demonstrable delivery of medium and high voltage electrical infrastructure projects
- Expert knowledge of project management processes, project controls and delivery governance
- Strong understanding of the German utilities market. Knowledge of German utility regulations and technical codes is highly desirable
- Commercial and contractual experience with standard construction contracts. FIDIC preferred, JCT a plus
- Works Manager experience, or close work alongside that function, is an advantage
- Degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline. Chartered status or a professional qualification preferred
- Professional working fluency in German and English
